CCNP Explorer

Program Objective

This curriculum gives students the skills necessary to succeed in degree programs related to networking and helps them prepare for the CCNP certification. The program provides a theoretically rich, hands-on learning experience covering advanced routing, switching, and troubleshooting skills. The goals of the CCNP explorer are as follows:

  • Impart in-depth, theoretical overview of advanced routing and switching and troubleshooting.
  • Train students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and support complex enterprise networks.
  • Prepare students for professional-level jobs in the networking industry.
  • Enable students to gain significant hands-on interaction with IT equipment to prepare them for certification exams and career opportunities.

Program Description:

The CCNP Explorer curriculum is designed to reflect the job skills and responsibilities that are associated with professional-level roles such as network engineer, systems engineer, network support engineer, network administrator, network consultant, and system integrator. All courses are technology focused, and students thoroughly learn each technology (routing, switching, and troubleshooting) in this program.

Students learn the basics and advanced concepts of routing, switching, and technologies related to network infrastructure deployment. The CCNP certification is highly valued in the global networking industry and provides validation of the skills and knowledge required for professional level networking careers.

The CCNP Explorer can be delivered as an independent curriculum or integrated into a broader course of study, such as degree programs in IT, engineering, math, or science. The CCNP Exploration curriculum deals with routing, switching and trouble shooting of cisco networks that span over five courses that are offered in a time frame of 100 hours. The program is either delivered as a boot camp spanning 12.5 business days or over a two month period. The following are the 5 courses that are covered in CCNP explorer program.
