Course:Networking I -

The first course introduces the student to networking fundamental concepts and LAN switching technologies to provide a solid foundation which allows the understanding and application of such concepts as: computer networking, the TCP/IP and OSI models, LAN/WAN design, IP addressing, basic routing protocols, Ethernet LAN switching configuration and troubleshooting and wireless LANs (WLANs).

Course: Networking II -

This second course builds on the concepts introduced on the Networking I course and advance into other topics such as basic IP Routing (e.g. RIP and RIPv2) and Wide-Area Networks. After completing this course students will be prepared to develop basic IP addressing and subnetting schemes, understand and apply routing protocols concepts and configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routers for deployment in small office home office (SOHO) applications. Successful completion of the Networking I & II courses prepare students to take the Cisco ICND1 test (exam 640-822). Exams must be taken in Cisco Authorized Testing Centers. Students who pass this exam will be eligible to receive a Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification directly from Cisco.

Course: Network+ -

This introductory course provides a solid foundation in networking technologies encompassing topics such as the OSI and TCP/IP models, network cabling, network security, network troubleshooting, network operating systems, WAN/LAN technologies, remote access, fault tolerance and disaster recovery. After taking this course, students will be prepared to take the CompTIA’s Network+ certification test (exam N10-003) in a CompTIA’s authorized testing center.
